Inspecting to a Higher Standard

The idea of creating the "Professional Home Inspector" surfaced in the 1960s. Over the next two decades, a group of dedicated inspectors initiated an effort to improve their profession and better protect home buyers by establishing uniform industry standards and practices. This was the beginning of the Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (TAREI).

The San Antonio Chapter of The Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (SATAREI) has extensive knowledge of South Texas homes and building practices. SATAREI members have a critical and important role in reducing the risk of buying and selling homes. They inspect systems, assess structural components, and deliver complete, thorough and competent reports that inform and assure buyers and sellers of the condition of property.
